Aaron`s Profile. Taken from Chapter 32 of Exodus.
Aaron provided Moses with one skill Moses lacked, effective public speaking. Yet Aaron needed Moses as well, without a guide, Aaron had little direction of his own. Aaron`s major failure was his inability to stand alone. His yielding to public pressure and making an idol was a good example of his weakness.
Most of us have more of the follower than the leader in us. But, no leader is perfect, and no human deserves our complete allegiance. Only God deserves our complete loyalty and obedience!
We need to be effective team members in using the skills and abilities God has given each of us, but if the team or the leader goes against God`s Word, we must be willing to stand alone.
“God cannot work in us when we elevate anyone or anything above Him!”
These people may have thought they were worshiping God. But they were ignoring the Command God had just given them. “ You shall not make yourself a carved image!”
There apparent sincerity was no substitute for obedience or excuse for disobedience!
A disobedient or self-willed slave was of no use to his master, but faithful slaves who set aside their personal interests to accomplish their master`s will were valued highly.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John.
But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life.
What is your favourite image of God? Is it biblical? Is it adequate? Do you need to destroy it in order to worship the immeasurable powerful God who delivered you from the bondage of sin?

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
We are called to be bond servants of our Lord Jesus Christ! Be faithful so God can use you mightily!
