This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil.
Hope in Jesus and eternity with Him is the anchor of the soul. The knowledge and belief of eternity with Jesus keeps us stable and walking on the narrow path in this rebellious world. We are to remain steadfast, trusting in God.
Rather than argue about the respective merits of Judaism and Christianity, we need to depend on Jesus and live effectively for Him.
If you deliberately turn away from Jesus, you are cutting yourself off from God`s forgiveness. Those who persevere in believing are true saints, those who continue to reject are unbelievers, no matter how well they behave!
Those who reject Jesus for whatever reason, will not be saved. Jesus died once and for all. He will not be crucified again.
Apart from this cross, there is no other possible way for salvation.
Both the Bible and the testimony of mature Christians encourage us to wait for God to act in His timing, even when our needs seem too great to wait any longer.
For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
Because God is truth, you can be secure in His promises, you don`t need to wonder if He`ll change His plans.
To the true seeker who comes to God in belief, God gives an unconditional promise of acceptance.
When you ask God with openness, honesty and sincerity to save you from your sins, He will do it.
For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
The high priest could only enter the Holy of holy's once a year, to stand in God`s presence and atone for the sins of the nation. But Jesus is in God`s presence at all times, not just once a year as the high priest, and He continually intercedes for us. HALLELUJAH!
