Philippians 4:1- 7
Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.
How do we stand fast in the Lord?
Keep your eyes focused on Jesus. Remember that this world is not your home and focus on the fact that Jesus will bring everything under HIS CONTROL.
Standing fast means steadfastly resisting the negative influences of temptations and false teachings.
It requires perseverance when we are challenged or opposed. Don't lose heart or give up. God promises to give us strength of character.
With the Holy Spirit`s help and with the help of fellow believers, you can stand fast in the Lord!
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
Delight and take pleasure in Him. Let your gentle spirit, your graciousness and unselfishness, mercy, tolerance and patience be known to all people.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Don`t be worried about anything, but in everything, every circumstance and situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your specific requests known to God.
And the peace of God, that peace which reassures the heart, that peace, which transcends all understanding, that peace which stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus, is yours.
True peace comes from “knowing” that God is in control.
