Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened,
That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.
But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.
When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.
Sin offends our holy God and separates us from Him. Because God is holy, He cannot ignore, excuse or tolerate sin as though it didn't exist.
Sin cuts people off from Him, forming a wall that isolates them from God.
People who die with their life of sin unforgiven, separate themselves eternally from God.
“As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore.”
When the Holy Spirit dwells within a person, they change. Their chief aim now is to please God.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
