"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."
To renew our minds, we need to be thinking of the things mentioned in Philippians 4:8-9, instead of thinking about our troubles that cause us to be anxious. If we think of the things of God, this will help us to be living out God's truth in His Word so we will grow closer to the God of peace, and only then, when we put our trust in Jesus and meditate on His Word, will we have a peace that surpasses all understanding. (Philippians 4:7)
Having our thinking not only on what is true, but on the things above.
Colossians 3:2-4 says “Set your minds on things that are above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
Starting today, let’s make God our focus each day and He will renew our minds in Him in His perfect peace.
