“Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”
-1 John 3:18
Love is an action, feeling an emotion and much more. When we become born-again, Christ’s love flows freely through us. This is something that differentiates those who are really Christians and those who are just playing religion.
“If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.” -1 John 4:20
Love is a beautiful gift to us that has been given by God. We should be expressing that love in our everyday lives, and because of this, all will know that we are His disciples. (John 13:34-35)
It would be impossible for us to walk in love and truth if we did not have Christ’s love first.
God showed us the greatest example of love for us when He sent His Son to die on the cross so that we may live. (John 3:16, Matthew 27:32-56)
“By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”
-1 John 3:16-18
There are many ways we can express Christ’s love to others through our actions.
John 15:13 says “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”
With Christ’s love we can lay down our life for someone, that shows us just how powerful His love is. Amen!
