"...Jesus Christ our Lord..."
Romans 1:4 ESV
The following statement is somewhat common amongst Christians: "I have made Jesus Christ my Saviour, however I have not yet made Him my Lord" or words to that effect.
Regardless of what we think of our Saviour, or whether we have 'made' Him Lord of our lives, Jesus Christ is always Lord of all. He is the Creator and Possessor of all things regardless of our opinion.
So, the question is not "have you made Jesus Christ your Lord", but rather "are you now ready to obey Jesus Christ who is Lord?" Obedience means adhering to the Word of God with the help and power of the Holy Spirit.
Reader, are you ready to obey Jesus Christ who is Lord? Or are you willing to obey Him only until it is 'uncomfortable'? Those who are truly born-again Christians seek to obey and please God.
"...because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9 ESV
