"But Peter and John answered them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge..."
Acts 4:19 ESV
It is important to adhere to what our employers and governors (or anyone else we are submitting to) are instructing us. However, our loyalty ultimately resides with God and God alone. If we are advised or persuaded to do something that is contrary to what pleases God (in accordance to the word of God), it is crucial that we abide by the bible rather than man's word.
Peter and John faced the same situation as they were instructed to not speak or teach in the name of Jesus, however they still did it, because they were not going to compromise on speaking out the Gospel.
Keep in mind, if we are ever in a scenario where we need to defy those in authority, we can still act respectful in all our actions.
Reader, let us go about our days in an uncompromising attitude, understanding that we live to please Jesus Christ.
