James 4:8 (ESV)
Psalm 73:25.26.28 (ESV)
Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
But for me it is good to be near God.
I have made the Lord God my refuge,
that I may tell of all your works.
You know our frame.
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted .me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts.. And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!
Psalm 63:3-8 (ESV)
My Soul Thirsts for You
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.
for you have been my help,
and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.
A Prayer Of Thanksgiving.
“How we depend on you Oh Lord, to be our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble. We are so weak and easily distracted.
It would appear that we are always in trouble of some sort Lord.
We are so grateful Lord that You extend Your faithfulness and loving
Kindness toward us. That You are so longsuffering toward us Oh Lord,
not willing that any should perish. We cling to You through Your Holy Spirit
and Your precious Word, that keeps us pressing on toward the goal for the prize
of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
It is You who works in us both to will and to do of Your good pleasure, Our Saviour and Lord.. with our whole hearts we praise You Almighty God...Amen”
