Reader, the devotional today is about running the race!
“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” - 2 Chronicles 15:7
In life, when we struggle too much to do something, we often give up instead of pushing ourselves to endure through the struggles. However, we cannot give up running this race!
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” - Isaiah 40:31
God will help you through whatever you are going through; whether that is depression, anxiety, grief, heartache or any other trial. He will help you through this, but you need to continue to run the race and choose not to give up!
Press into God and He will give you the strength to allow you to grow closer to Him and overcome.
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” - Galatians 6:9
It is far too easy to grow weary of doing good, but we are not called to be weary! No matter how much pain we’re going through, no matter how often doing good seems to hurt us, we are told not to grow weary! We must continue to do good.
God has called us to run the race by being His obedient children. So let us do just that.
Let us run the race so that one day we can hear God say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant”.
My prayer today is that we all press into God so that we have the supernatural strength that only He can grant us - to run the race until we are home with Him!
