"The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent." - Exodus 14:14
When a situation seems hopeless or matters seem to be getting worse, we may be tempted to doubt God.
As Christians, we must remember that nothing is too big or too small for God to take care of. Taking this to heart will help your daily faith in Christ.
Our faith in Christ plays vital importance in our lives. It is the very thing that will help us to see our mountain of problems like a grain of sand, because that is exactly how He sees our struggles. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
This does not mean that God doesn't care about our problems, but that our problems are tiny to Him because of how powerful He is.
If we cannot trust in Jesus with our finances, relationships, career, worries, work and more, then how are we going to stand for Christ at a time when we will be persecuted for His name's sake?
God is in control - He will fight for us, but that does not mean that Christians will never face battles. (2 Timothy 3:12, Romans 5:3-4, Ephesians 6:10–17)
"...and you will be hated by all for my names sake, but the one who endures to the end will be saved" -Matthew 10:22
"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." -Matthew 5:10-12
"... you have only to be silent" means that even when we are persecuted for His sake, we do not need to defend ourselves, rather we should stay silent and let God fight for us because we are not battling against flesh and blood, but of the spiritual forces of evil. (Ephesians 6:12)
We are commanded to love those who hurt us, put us down and cause us grief because that is what we have been called to do. (Matthew 5:44)
Christ's love, when shown through us, will impact many people - and what a blessing it is that God would allow us to be part of His mighty work.
So have faith, you who are going through trials, for our Lord has everything in control.
"Our confidence is in God, who will fight our battles and bring us safely home" -Jude 1:24–25
